Thomas Hannon sailed to Australia from the Cove of the Cork (Cobh) on
16.11.1839, arriving in Sydney on 14.2.1840 on the 'Adam Lodge'.
Accompanying him were his 3 youngest children, daughters Catherine
Hannan, a 21 year old farm servant, a native of Ballybricken, Co.
Limerick,  Honourah Hannan, a 17 year old Child's maid, native of
Ballybrechan,  and son Nicholas Hannin 18 of Co. Limerick.

Thomas Hannon was our GGG Grandfather and I believe he bought land at
Limestone Creek in 1853.  Thomas died in 1871 at Gallop Creek.

Thomas Hannon's son John Hannon, wife Mary Walsh and daughter Eliza,
sailed from London via Plymouth on 2.11.1840, arriving in Sydney on
the Portland on 11 March 1841.  His Father Thomas was already living
in the colony.  John was our GG Gfather.

John and family were Bounty Immigrants and brought out by Mr
Gilchrist and Mr Alexander.  I wonder if anyone knows anything of Mr
Gilchrist and Alexander, I have not yet been able to find anything.

We know that John Hannon was a Farmer, living at Binalong Cumbermurra
at the time of the birth of his second child Patrick in 1843 and at
Bowning near Yass in NSW when third child Thomas was born in 1844.   I
believe he lived at Limestone Creek also.

John Hannon's 1st child, Eliza Hannon aged 24 years, married William
Augustine Wall, son of Ellen Kelleher and James Wall at Campbelltown
on 4.2.1862.   I know that Eliza and William had 13 children, I have
only found records for 9.

Patrick Joseph Hannon, Born 2.2.1843 in Binalong, NSW.
Baptised St Augustine's Yass on 1.5.1843.
Godparents: James Hannon and Mary Halloran.
Believed to have died in 1914 in Liverpool?

Patrick married Ellen Sheedy in Binalong on 10.6.1871.
I have only found 4 daughters for Patrick and Ellen Hannon, Mary,
Bridget, Ellen and Elizabeth and don't have much at all on the family.
Would love to know more.

The third child Thomas Edward Hannon was our G.Gfather.
Born: Bowning Yass 24.7.1844
Baptised: 29.7.1844.  Sponsors John Hannon and Catherine Hannon.
Religion: Roman Catholic
Married: ELLEN WALL in Yass NSW on 12.2.1866 aged 21 years.
Died: 18.10.1927 in Ryde New South Wales aged 83 years.
